Nalin later ventured to form his own band, Nalin & The Star Combination. With their experienced versatility and wide repertoire speak for their success, as a super combination. Apart from their regular gigs, they perform for many weddings, Sing-a-longs, Dances and Get-togethers. They entertain all kinds of audiences, with their selections from 60’s, 70’s music, to latest. They have their own original hit songs and also cover popular Sri Lankan songs as well as bailas.
Handling female vocals, Shirmila Fonseka, daughter of late TV & Radio artist C.D. Fonseka, started singing with her late father from age 7, has several originals under her belt. Their Two daughters Sahani & Nashali, blessed with abundant talent, join the combination for special functions.
